The well-known spanish wine expert Jose Penin has carried out the presentation of his book, «Penin's guide of Spanish wines 2006», issued in english language. This unique guide describes more than 12 thousand kinds of wine. It has already become a bestseller all over the world. The guide contains descriptions and ratings of more than 10000 wines and the theoretical part, dedicated to different questions, including viticulture and wine-making aspects, wine marketing, tasting art.

Jose Penin – leading Spanish wine expert and author of the popular guide on Spanish wines has visited Moscow specially to take part in the international Forum "Fine Wine & Spirits Salon 2005".
On November, 23rd he has read a lecture for participants of the Forum "New image of Spanish wines", it has been supported by tasting of 11 wines from various regions of Spain.
20 of October, 2005 - The first exhibition of Spanish wines and food "Gourmet". Moscow, Metropol restaurant.
  
In Metropol restaurant in Moscow took place the fisrt exhibition of Spanish wines and food "Gourmet", organized with support of Trade and Economic Department of Spanish embassy in Moscow and Institute of foreign trade of Spain (ICEX). The purpose of the action became promotion in the Russian market of Spanish wines and products. The best Spanish manufacturers represented their products: jamon, cheeses, variety of meat and fish delicacies, olive oil. Russian someliers have tasted more than 100 wines from different regions — D.O.C. Rioja, D.O. Ribera del Duero, D.O.Jumilla, D.O. Navarra, D.O. La Mancha, etc.
